Also they won't cross the "Sundial Bridge (Roadbed is glass) on icy or frosty days because it gets to slippery.

The only time they don't operate is in a heavy downpour or heavy snow.

They've been doing this for quite a while. they have age, hight and weight limits. BTW in Redding where this is, it normally get above 100+ F in the summer. They provide free cooling vests.

They say the segways run for 6-8 hours on a full charge and their longest trip is 2.5 hours. They run them between 6 and 10 mph. They have a short training session before the tour starts. They show it on a video. People catch on real quick. They don't rent them. They are just for the tours. I think the longest tour, 2.5 hours, costs $45. A lot cheaper than the blimp tour in the bay area: cheapest 90 min tour $199.

Off the subject: But I was looking at a park, museum, arboretum in N. Cal called Turtle Bay (turtlebay.org), They have guided tours on Segways, amongst other interesting things, Have you ever heard of them being used for that? Sounds like a great idea. BTW - Catspaw is not female. Has a wife and a very nice sailboat.

Actually it is a hoot to watch her flame for a bit, and then toss in another point when she starts to cool down a bit.

I don't try to win with catspaw, nor do I reply in kind (flaming).

I try to post reasonable and rational replies to her flaming; it does tend to make her ever more extreme, but this serves to discredit her position to others who might otherwise accept her arguments as fact.

We are playing to a larger audience than just the person to whom we address our comments.

Besides, the fireworks can be entertaining to watch.
