@johnny: You couldn't have had experience with these because they weren't scheduled for sale until 2014.

I didn’t say I had experience with these vehicles. I have had experience with other hybrids though. I work for a company that burns about 7 million gallons of diesel a year at 4.5 to 5 MPG. The low mileage is due to the nature of the operation. It’s about worst way you can run a vehicle. We look at every fuel saving device and innovation someone brings us. The hybrids we tested form five different suppliers all failed to provide any fuel savings. In fact some got worse mileage than the standard diesels. If we can save a half mile per-gallon it would save us one half million dollars a year at current prices. If the hybrids worked and where economical we would have them. But as of right now neither is true.

I love the Volt articles. Others won't. To head off the thread cops, I'd suggest that you make a final post in the "I ordered my Volt" thread and send the link to the system moderator account from your site email list and ask them to close the thread. I'm going to do the same with my Memorial thread before it is 60 days old.

I got a very nice response back to my question. Maybe not the answer we'd want, but very well thought out.

Like everywhere, there's politics at work in the Cols forum. The click hated me from the get-go, but avz and GTH encouraged me to stick around. I did and it's been fun, though sometimes frustrating. But then, so's life, lol. I just sent a buddy request to CC to find out why she closed the thread and start a dialogue. I would have just posted to her WB, but it's only open to her buddies.
