I'm in Los Angeles, CA. I'm trying to find ANYONE in the STATE that knows of a dealer who'll give you MSRP for a HCH WITH NAVIGATION, in either Magnetic Pearl or Alabaster Silver. I'm going to buy a couple of accessories, so that may help. And I'm pretty sure I'm going to secure financials through someone else, so I'll be able to walk in there with a blank check, sign it and have bought the car. I've been looking and found two out by where I live, but I would like to find more to keep my options open or in case they're just trying to hook me. I DON'T mind driving to Northern California, or ANYWHERE in California to save the money, just as long as you can be pretty confident that they give you MSRP for the car. Preferrably if you bought the car already and know so you would know for a fact, but I'll take any verification at this point. Please let me know anyone, and thanks SO MUCH in advance.

mexiken, look at the IRS website. There's a $2000 tax DEDUCTION for 2005. For 2006, there's a formula to calculate the tax CREDIT. That's better than the deduction.

mexiken

Have you tried Toyota of Glendora since you seem to hang around this area. They offered me a great deal recently but I was not ready to buy.

BTW, There is no Shell station on Bonita in La Verne. That station you have listed is in San Dimas where I live.

Gemini,

Plz explain. I'm on the phone AT THE MOMENT trying to verify if indeed the tax deduction takes effect in 2006 or not. Do you have a source for this ???? I'd really like to solidify this point as its whats making my decision as to when to buy it. Please let me know ASAP.

mexiken, back in July I walked out w/ a '05 Prius (fully loaded) with a $2300 discount. I'd be glad to explain what I did, if you want.

Also, what's your timeframe for buying the hybrid? Are you targeting the federal tax DEDUCTION of '05 or the federal tax CREDIT (much better) for '06?

Flyerz, Diamond Bar has said they'll let them go at MSRP and so will Penske Honda in Ontario, but Penske doesn't have any. Honda World in Downey says they let them ALL go at MSRP, but there IS a waiting list. I don't mind waiting, I just need the BEST price I can get.

Thanks bud, but it NEEDS to be in California. California cars have AT-PZ emissions standards on them, which I NEED to get the tax rebate here and more importantly, the carpool sticker. Thanks for your quick response though !!!!

I live in Canada -- the MSRP for 2006 Honda Civic hybrid is the equivalent of $24,300 US. The price includes freight and preparation.

There is no hybrid in stock and the wait time is about 1 month.
