When the original plan by the kidnappers met resistance i am sure they would have earned points by releasing the hostages. Killing them serves no purpose. Those who have the decision authority still go home at night. Just the innocent suffer.

The Taliban do it, the Palestinians do it, and various other terrorist idiots do it. Obviously they're weak, or they wouldn't attack people weaker than them or even ones who can't fight back at all..
