I just bought a 2013 ford fusion hybrid and it is just awesome. I am getting 47 mpg. Smooth ride radio sounds great too. I just can not believe the difference from the 2010 to the 2013 big difference. I am glad I bought this car. I also got 1.49% finance on this car. Savings on both and on gas.

You wouldn't believe the problems that the dealers are having on these cars.

Fist off the front complete grill is too low to the ground and if you live in snow country like I do forget it you will be paying $4000.00 every snow storm with the hard ice cracking up the plastic parts.Tires are too darn wide to get any traction in the snow and just lay the snow down.Narrow tires are the baet in the snow. This car was made to just look at in your driveway. Now they have a problem with all these cars just dying on the road because of the evaporative system which has a hose cracking and has to be replaced.Try to pull over going in traffic at 65 miles per hour and nowhere to pull over to get towed. Safety here is the key issue and they should be all recalled but they say there isn't enough cars dying on the highway yet. How many do they need 10,000 cars breakng down and how many lives?Think twice about buying one of these.Just my 2 cents. You may be lucky and didn't incounter thes problems yet.

an affordable Aston Martin look-alike and not like all the vanilla cars of its class. If I were in the market for this type of vehicle, I would definitly consider it.

I test drove a 2013 Fusion SE today, it had the 2.5 liter in it. It drove OK but if I was going to buy one it would be either a SE Luxury or a Titanium and I would probably go for the 2.0 Ecoboost instead of the old 2.5 liter.
The one I drove was priced at around $23,000. Very basic. Always been my opinion that if you are going to get a car you might as well get one you are going to enjoy. I drive a 2012 Fusion SEL right now, loaded with everything.

I think the 2013 exterior styling is pretty nice. I am seriously considering a 2013 hybrid, and have never owned anything but GM. I want a non-Asian brand, and GM just does not have anything with this kind of fuel efficiency. Volt is not an option.

I am driving a 2012 Fusion and really like it. The 2010-2012 version of the car has good styling and has been a good seller for Ford. I get compliments from people on what a good looking car it is, I like the aggressive looking front end.
I got a chance to check out a new 2013 demo model on display at a local dealer, it has features that a lot of the main competition does not have and has a really nice interior. The exterior however is not as appealing to me as the current version of the Fusion.

Lots of things to look at in a new car. Looks, economy (mpg), how dependable it is, handling, resale value and cost of service.

I haven't driven one but I like their looks. I was disappointed a few years ago when they dropped the funky pointy headlight enclosures, but the Fusion still looks pretty cool. With its improved technology and better MPG, the 2013 Fusion Hybrid is going to give the Prius and Volt some strong competition.

I had the opportunity to drive a new Fusion Hybrid last week. It was a really neat car, certainly a different experience. I really liked it in the short distance I drove it. Would have to take it on a more extensive test drive to see if I could live with and enjoy one in the long term.

By this mornings paper, it seems to be doing really well in sales. It passed Malibu and several others lately.
I was headed in that direction, until my wife decided she wanted a suv again.

I absolutely reccomend any Fusion. I have an 07 and I can't stop saying how nice it is. For the price it rides like a higher end car. I have owned 3 series BMW's and this competes with it. Power is great. A family car that burns late model Camaro z/28s and SSs. I can go on and on, just that it is pointless. The car is great I had my doubts but it hands down convinced me. Try it out...

I don't know if the original poster is still reading these comments.... I'm happy with my 2010 Fusion. I looked at a few other cars, but none were quite the same size and AWD. I think the Legacy was closest. I did consider an AWD Audi, but the price was just too high for a brand that I had never owned before. The Taurus was just a tad too big for me, although I did like the SHO version.

I did not know they needed saving - but on that note - my 2010 Fusion is awesome - and I got the bottom of the line S model. ACTUALLY gets the reported 34mpg on the highway - at 70mph - I could not ask for more

we traded in our 2007 Fusion yesterday as the lease was about to end. We enjoyed it very much. We were getting about 22 MPGs over the three years we had it. The only read problem was the number of dings in the doors as it did not take much of a bang to put a small dent. It was very comfortable our situation. The new 2010 looked good, but the seats are narrow compared to the 07. We ended up with a Taurus. The payments on this are actually lower as dealers are slow again after the clunkers program ended.

Seeing how Ford owns I think about 40% of Mazda and the Fusion is built on the same platform as the Mazda 6 I think it will be a very strong seller and perfomer for Ford. As for saving Ford I don't know how much saving they need. They are doing a pretty good job themselves. Out of the Big 3 they are top of the heap.

The new 2010 Fusion competes well with any domestic or import in it's class. Ford need not apologize for anything on this one.

#1 Ford does not OWN Mazda, they have a controlling share (33.4%) of Mazda of Japan.
#2 Ford is currently working on serveral new engines the main ones im interested in are the Eco-Boost engines. "At the 2008 NAIAS, Ford introduced a similar gasoline turbocharged direct injected engine family called EcoBoost, scheduled for production starting in 2009.[6] The EcoBoost family is expected to be available as four-cylinder I4 and six-cylinder V6 versions. The 2010 Lincoln MKS is scheduled to kick off EcoBoost production, with a 3.5L V6 version estimated at 340 hp, in mid-2009, followed closely by the Ford Flex. The Ford Explorer America and Lincoln MKT concept crossover utility vehicles, which debuted in the 2008 NAIAS, show a similar displacement GTDI EcoBoost engine with up to an an estimated 415 hp.[7] The company eventually plans to equip a half-million cars and trucks annually with turbocharged EcoBoost engines by 2013."
Summed up they said "Tthink I4 fuel economy, but with the power of a V6" Ford's 4.4L DIESEL 2009 F-150 is reportedly getting 30+ MPG. They've raised the bar again, now it time for everyone else to play catch-up again.

Well, I ended up getting my '07 SEL in FWD only - it's hard to be picky when buying used. Got it in great condition, with the I4 engine - handles like a dream. Really enjoying this car!

If you think you like the Fusion, test drive it and then go test drive a Mazda6. The are built a the same platform but the difference is amazing. Build quality, materials used and styling of the Mazda is outstanding.

All US automakers are in trouble because they pushed the big SUV gas guzzlers and are now paying for the mistake. Fusion is a more economical family car.

One of my best friends works for a Ford dealer where I live, and the rate of repair is next to nothing compared to anything else Ford produces. You'd be wise to buy one...even Consumer Reports rates them as "well above average" in terms of reliability.

I've had 3 all wheel cars, several 4 wheel drives, and several front wheel drives. I can truthfully say, that the all wheel, and 4 WD are very comparable, only thing is, you can control the 4WD more so. The front wheel dr is a little more economical, but it does not compare to the other ones on slick roads, snow, icy conditions. Nothing is good on solid ICE. Right now I have a 2008 Ford Escape Hybrid FWD, and a 2008 GMC Envoy 4WD. This winter when it snowed, my wife took my Envoy to work, as she drives 39 miles each way and felt much safer in it. It uses much more gas, but safety is very important. The Envoy is almost impossible to slide around in. It has stability control, traction control, ABS, and posi-traction. Works great in slick conditions. The Escape is a great lil' SUV, as it gets right at 30 MPG, and we haven't had it back to the dealer for anything, except oil changes. 1 year old next week, and 24,000 miles. Also I received a rebate of $3000.00 from the IRS just because I own one. They are almost impossible to find, and dealers are starting to set a premium on the price for them. If the Fusion all wheel drive gets right at 30 highway, 22 in town, I would think very seriously about getting one. Ford has a 60,000 mile drive train warranty, so I wouldn't worry too much about repairs for a few years.

Don't worry about AWD,,,,I have it on my 2004 Ford Explorer with 45,000 miles.....no problems yet...I have a 2008 Fusion SEL with the V/6 engine and AWD....only 2500 miles but no problems and drives like a dream. I get 22mpg in town and up to 30mpg on highway...I am totally satisfied

I'm considering the purchase of a 2007 Fusion, but I am leery of AWD, because of things I've 'heard' about it; I've never owned or driven a vehicle so equipped before. Can anyone here with an AWD Fusion comment on the following:
- reliability of AWD system (I've heard that AWD is phenomenally expensive to repair, IF something goes wrong) - how noticable is the difference between FWD and AWD? - I've heard that you have to be extremely vigilant with your tires, and that it's vital to match tread pattern and wear (for example, if you blow a tire, you have to replace all 4) - is this true?
Thanks in advance for any comments!
