We don't have thousands of years of the effects of carbon emissions on the earth to say whether it is caused by man completely, increased by man, or just a naturally recurring phenomenon. In my opinion, to think the answer is clear and clean-cut either way is pretty naive. I know smog and pollution can lead to higher temperatures, but I also know that the glaciers in Alaska started receding 200+ years ago.

And for that very reason, most glaciers have been retreating for the last 25,000 years thus rendering pointing to glaciers as indicators of anthropogenic change baseless.

If there is an erruption of multiple volcanos we will be worried about drastic global cooling.
