Training camp starts today. Additions and subtractions may be a cause for
concern. Hossa had surgery and won't play until Nov., with Havlet gone let's hope someone takes up the slack. Now that Huet is the man, can he
substain the pace of a full timer? Cold Steel on ice is back!!!!

Yeah, down 2-1 doesn't feel comfortable. But they can come back from this. They did in their SC run vs. Nashville. Next game is a must-win! GO HAWKS!

I had to run some errands so only saw the first two periods. Thankfully, I didn't miss much. Sadly, the outcome was not good. Time to clamp down and get things done on the road.

there's no doubt that the Hawks got the attention of the Wings in the 1st game because they came to play today... next game in Detroit... 1 apiece...

A Classic win 4 the Hawks, we might have too many stronger lines than the Wings can handle... Go Hawks!!!

Hawks showed no "rust" with 1st score. Detroit countered and tied 1 -1

Hawks kept pressure most of the game. up 3 - 1 until empty netter made the final 4 - 1! Good start, room for some improvement. Goalies on both sides were great... Look forward to watching Hockey on Saturday!

GO HAWKS!!!

Markel, I hear you, I saw the end of the game, but there were some stretches in the 3rd period I don't recall...

Great game to win. Too bad Wild had all the goalie problems...

As for who we play next, makes no difference to me... it is what it is, and in my mind, we are going to have to beat all the good teams to get to the final goal... Hopefully Bolland and Emery will continue to improve...

Bolland for his play off experience, and Emery for backup to crawford...

We saw what happens when you throw an un-experienced goalie in the playoff pressure...

I hate these late starts. I've got to head to bed after the 2nd period with the Hawks leading 4-1 (with Crawford playing a BIG part in keeping the score one-sided). Hopefully it will be good news in the morning. GO HAWKS!!!!

Wild goalies are dropping like flies...

I agree with others, let's finish this out on Home Ice.

Great game for crawford, though I do like winning, don't like seeing it via injuries...

Much better physical game from the Hawks. Crawford was outstanding between the pipes. Let's finish them at home on Thursday. Go Hawks!

The Hawks caught a break when the Wild's (backup) goalie strained something and didn't come out after the second period. Crawford stood strong and the Hawks take a 3-0 win for a 3-1 series lead. Lets close this one out on home ice on Thursday! GO HAWKS!!!!

The Hawks didn't play their best game today. They did better in 3rd period but they left their guards down too long in the rest of the game. They need to get more physical and put the puck in between the pipes in the next game.

Black Hawks also did not get many shots on goal in 1st two periods...

Not good...

We did get serious in 3rd... the loss of puck at end to bring it back into our end in O.T. did us in... two of wilds scores were high and to corner, which are tough to defend...

Hopefully they will play with more intensity the whole game and not retaliate (got several penaltys that way)...

what a fast moving game... only bad I saw was Da Hawks being outhit 34 to 13... Your not going too far in the playoffs without being physical.

that was some playoff hockey right there. Gotta give it to the Wild, they had 2 of their best, one of them the goalie, out for the game and still brought it. Hawks got a good preview of how teams will try to play them going forward

Great win indeed. Even my wife stayed up for the game... (rubbing her neck helped).

Great game to come away with win. I only saw the 3rd and 4th (OT) periods. But have the 1st 2 periods recorded if i want to watch.

Harding played a great game. Made some great saves and stood strong.
Minnesota did a good job keeping Hawks off balance. Going to need to do a better job in that area...

I wonder how wise it is for the Minnesota team to not stay the 3 days here locally?

Crawford gave up a weak goal 5 minutes into the game, but really played well after to allow the Hawks to take a 2-1 win late in the first OT. GO HAWKS!!!!
