We saw a good portion of the blue angels. It was awesome. And for this event, I think the crowd estimates were LOW! People were watching from street corners from a half a mile away and all along the lake. And there was quite an amada of boats out in the lake as well.

Since we both work downtown I decided today was the day... My experience with Ferris wheels is much different from reality at Navy pier.... 1st it's $6/person.... (discounts available with multiple ride options and value packs). Ok I guess, so $12. Then we get on and I figure they are loading up for the ride.... Well that was all they did. No ride, just go around once and that's it. I guess you don't really advertise this fact, but I will surely let everybody know what to expect (or not expect). Some of my favorites growing up were The Grass Roots - June 24th and on the 4th of July (not a Wednesday...), Blood Sweat and Tears. Admission is "free". Bring your own lawn chairs / blanket.
